Click to Enlarge Veterans Day 2007 the Memorial Park was officially dedicated. Since then AMVETS members has raised funds to build the "Falllen Soldier " Memorial to be completed by mid-summer. The city of Maysville has given trmendous support to the construction of the park, AMVETS members have provided the majority of the funds to move the park foward to this point.
While their has been some support from individuals and a few organizations in the community, AMVETS is the major contributor for funding the project
Our U.S. Congressional Representive Has sought funding at the federal level and has been a strong supporter of this project but has had little success. It seems the chairman of the approations committee will not even consider the request to move it foward for a floor vote.how ever it seems they have little problem approving millons for funding the "Airport to no where" rest assured the development of the park will continue with or with out assistance from the state or federal goverment. WE LOVE, HONOR, RESPECT AND WILL ALWAYS REMEBER OUR VETERANS.
