Click to Enlarge In keeping with tradition AMVETS Post 124 hosted Christmas dinner for the 299th Chemical Co. of the Kentucky Army Nat'l Guard. The soldiers and their families began to assemble shortly before noon at the Mason county middle school for the gathering. AMVETS members arrived at the school at 8:30 A.M. to prepare the meal of turkey and ham with all the trimmings. The AMVETS family of Post 124 considers it an honor to serve this unit a meal, after all it is a small token of appreciation for the service given by the men and women of this unit.
It was good that all members of the unit were together again this holiday season, but their always remains the possibility for the unit to be recalled to serve in the war against terrosim. As always they stand ready and willing to serve their country. Click the image for additional photos
